We adopted our first child from Guatemala in 2007 and plan to begin the process to adopt our second child in early 2009.  During our first adoption, we created a gift basket fundraiser and are happy to be doing it again for our second adoption.  Once we have adopted all of our children, we hope to use Gifts of Hope as an adoption fundraiser for other adoptive parents that are struggling to pay the enormous fess that the adoption process brings.  To learn more about us and about adoption in general, please visit our blog, Adoption - The Real Truth

Not only do we desire to adopt, but we also have the desire to provide help to the millions of orphans all over the world that may never have the chance to be adopted.  Today, there are more than 163 million orphans worldwide that are either waiting to be adopted or are not eligible for adoption.  The children that are not adopted will eventually be forced to leave their orphanages, safe houses or continue to live on the streets, with little or no hope for the future.  Many of them are hungry.  Many do not have clean water.  Many do not have access to medical care or education.  And even some do not have shelter.  Those that do not have access to life's basic necessities are suffering physically and emotionally and those that do have all they need to survive also suffer as they wait the endless wait for parents to call their own. Because of this, we strive to support orphans all over the world as well as families that are at risk of leaving their children as orphans.  We are proud to support Weaving Families adoption ministry because they are working to help these children and families in more ways than one.  Please take a moment to learn more about what this ministry is doing and how you can help on our "Weaving Families" page.  A portion of each gift you purchase will be donated to this amazing ministry.  Thank you in advance for supporting adoption and the orphans that are waiting for our help.
